Ah rite, that explains it. I'm not the vendor for the stuff. I got it from Chrisxr from on here. He can supply the snorkel and you do the rest. I have spent no time doing any research, or looking into it, Chris has done all this. No worries, sorry i just missunderstood when you said you were taking over the ramair side of the business.
Have pmed chris re a kit, good price but the postage to aus is a killer and then I would probably only used 1/2 the kit and made a front duct that followed the contour on the bottom of the front fairing.
Will get a tuneable CDI off chris instead and will keep trying to find info on RVF carbies.

rvf carbs are simple nothing to blank up just plump up the same as any other set up and start with size 140 main jet on stock needles and emulsions when not using a filter. If using a filter around 124 ( both just a estimate start point that should be slightly to the rich side on most motors)
short trumpets 30mm alround see gains around the 12 to 13500 area where as the mix intake lengths standard see better power around 8000 to about 12.
not a lot to do with other carb bits as these fuel quite well better than the 30 carbs and give a starighter fuel line to start with.

Running the open carb setup and modifying the carbs to hrc spec is easy and cheap (non genuine parts) for good gains.
Get as much air into it (for a bigger bang) for the price you can afford, and jet accordingly. When you push the peak power up further, it's nice to have the increased rev limit of the hrc cdi.
I hear what you're saying about ram air being surrounded in secrecy, it's an edge for some racers who have outlaid big money on setup. I would like this, but aren't willing to outlay that sort of money when I'm happy with the hrc setup. I would rather spend the money on a fibreglass tank or similar...
Other than engine mods, gear it lower to make the most of the torque, and lose all of the weight that you can. If you read through Rally's weight list, there are lots of small items on there that you can remove without spending a cent (e.g. engine cover noise baffles).
I wholeheartedly agree that suspension and tyres are the biggest gains, along with probably all classes of the Cali Superbike school for myself...

Unfortunately not. All the information was purged and is now gone. It's unfortunate too, as it had a lot of information regarding tuning and performance upgrade on 400's as opposed to todays trends where people are more concerned with changing the looks of the bike.
