erm woops!!!!

Post by spooner » Mon May 03, 2010 9:40 pm

Hello i am quite new to here and very very new to biking (i aint done my theory yet), but i have just brought myself a bike  . All i need to do now is tell my mother :sshh: . Well the bike is a 1990 VFR400 NC30 R-L (whatever that means) in black/white 'west livery', i was looking for one different to the normal RWB bikes (how rare was this paint option) with only 43000kms on the clocks. there is a couple of small marks on the body work according to the ebay ad (yes thats correct i didnt go and view the bike, but if its not as described i will walk away). No tax and MOT'ed til July this year and has covered all of 1 mile since the last one. Also the wheels were recently power coated and has new box.,battery, black screen. So i will see how good it is when i go to collect it.
Here are a couple of pics.

 hope you can talk your mother round when she finds out  might be wrong but plastics look hong kong/chinese stuff not original honda panels but i like the colour scheme nonetheless tbh would never buy a bike unseen on ebay myself and seller might well get a bit pissed off if you change your mind on seeing it in the flesh and it turns out not as you thought on the strenghth of a few pics. but good luck to you hope it goes ok for you

cheers i hope she will be ok amd one good thing (i think) with ebay its a legally binding contract and if its not as described you dont have to go through with the purchase. (well thats how i think it works)

just one thing i seen in pics think it has a plate on the frame near headstock if correct you got yourself a uk spec bike hard to be sure tho but it has a km speedo ? have seen a few ebay sellers having to relist bikes after timewasters or people bidding to buy turning up and then trying to negotiate a lower price so dont really agree with bidding unseen . but you may well have a uk bike :plus: :?:

see the post by crm uk jap spec differences , yes if they are complete o/e bodywork etc undertray lights speedo history and so on , cannot see an oil cooler beneath nose cone in pic so it might not be the original uk motor would check frame number and engine number tie up against v5 but still looks a good deal :!:

Either way, UK or import, it'll be a cracker.
How hard can it be?

She looks mint in that colour scheme

guaranteed to make to smile from ear to ear each time you get your leg over her
I've had mine for 13 years, unable to find anything to come close to the NC30 feeling, long may your relationship last with such a slinky, sexy babe!!!

have fun
