My NC29 Saga......
Well as some of you may know I am in the US and have procured a NC29 from a serviceman who brought it from Korea. Well there in is the problem. The bike when I got it was in god awful condition. Everything basically needed to be replaced, crank bearings, piston rings and anything rubber. The engine looked like the previous owner forwent the fertilizer and refining process and basically took a shit in the oil fill spout. So now that the engine is rebuilt, I have a few things missing that are on order or I don't know if they are supposed to be there to begin with. One of the items missing is the fuel pump and the other Velocity Stacks, now I'm not sure on the Stacks because I know for a fact they were not present when i got it. So does it need them to run? I am turning it into a race bike and know that I will need them down the line but want to run the engine in.

I saw NC23 here which run without fuel pump - but I'm perosnally not recommend run bike without pump, because it produce preasure inside of the float bowl. As I remember about 2 psi.
The velocity stack less important I would say, because air will be absorb in any cases - but for the race bike I recommend to use 4 short velocity stack. Someting like this.

You can use a CBR600 F2/3 pump that might be easier to source.

pump on mine is from a ZXR750 lol
as for the stacks you can use 4 short as per the later models or 2 long 2 short, they are 10 a penny stick a wanted add up.

4 short work better on top range.4 short or 2 long 2 short ?
2 long on work better on the middle range.

Re: My NC29 Saga......
if i can remember, the two outer ones are short, the two inner ones are long....on my bike anyways and i have never messed about with them.
fuel pump, i was told that you can use almost any pump so long as the in/outlets are on the same end as the old one (ease of fitting) and that it pumps around the same ratio as the old one.
For the USA and lack of anything Grey imported in parts.. id try other bike pumps.
