Alright, so after got rejected from the mechanic, i decided to removed the fairing and airbox then carbies.
And i found this

and then
http://s199.photobucket.com/albums/aa31 ... 102318.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Its seem like aluminum or metal flakes, so i think this cylinder is in pretty serious damage (cylinder number 3 i think )

Hi , GF Racing. I think im goin to need ur help to source out a good used RVF for me

I don't see any problems - can you upload them pics higher res?

In Aus there are several v4 owners and the skills to sort this out.

Seeing as ou have it stripped that far, take the rockers off, the heads and then see what is going on in the motor. If it is not knackered thej you have learned about taking it apart and also will have to do the valve clearances as you rebuild it. If it is fooked then you can take the motor out and get our good man Graeme to send you one.

Made my own lock nut wrench to day. :P cost me $1
After, got the engine out, then removed the head, and this is what i've found :o

I'll visit a special bike mechanic shop to see if they can re-bore the cylinder and replace with new head+piston etc..
If can't then i'll have to find another engine to drop it in. :peace:

Err yeah, that will cause some running problems!

It will be FAR cheaper to source a used engine than fix this one. You can't just give it a rebore, there are no oversize pistons available and they use a drop in liner (I think). I think you should set about pulling that one out..just make sure to label all parts (especially the bloody engine spacers!!).

You probably won't find better prices in Aus than RB's in sydney, great service also: http://www.rbimports.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Failing that, try sumoto in Melbs they sell all rvf parts: http://www.sumoto.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Installing the engine is quite straight forward, you can easily get it done in a day the first time round. You can also fit a vfr engine, but you'll need some other bits to get it to run in an rvf (tacho, cdi, loom etc).

Where are you located?

Edit: Best manual to get is a Haynes from Aussie ebay, I don't know that there's an electronic version of this (at least I've never found it!). You can get the UK vfr service manual from here, many parts are similar except for engine tolerances etc: http://www.akhara.com/nc30/nc30manuals/ ... op_Manual/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
