cleaning calipers, parts also needed!

Post by ibby4585 » Fri Mar 05, 2010 8:05 pm

Ive just started sorting my brake system on my NC30. I'm going to use the SP1 caliper set up, ive stripped everything down but just wanna clean the calipers up before i put them on, Whats the best thing to use to get the black crap off them?
i want them sparking! Ive checked all the pistons and they are working fine so just need some cleaner and new pads.

Also has anyone got an NC30 resevoir and hose to fit to the master cylinder?

i used a small brass spark plug brush and a brillo pad for the really tough stuff. I also used a dentist scrappes tool for the nitty gritty bits.
There is an excellent step by step guide on the MCNninja site. I would link it but i'm sending this reply from my phone
