I have them ( HONG KONG seller) on my CBR, how I had to fit them is in this thread :

I was lucky and paid no customs. A courier will charge you £200 - £300 for a box that size, it is not heavy but it all comes in 1 large box. The top cowl does not flat pack so I dont think your family will have much luck getting it in to their luggage
Overall I am very happy with the bike, the paintjob on the tank + Seat cowl was £180 bringing the total up to £530 for an all round bodywork refresh. There were lots of fitment problems with mine and a few pieces I did not use. The infills on the inside of the fairing were rubbish, as were the bits that go over the frame under the tank. I used the original bits for that.
Mine had almost no holes drilled so did them myself. Once ready to fit ,the fun ( read nightmare) began, it took 10-15 hours to fit and make a few fibreglass pieces to pull the front fairing together a bit, I also ended up putting a few more bolts in some places, again to pull it all together better. None of the nice little brackets on the inside of the fairing were there so for example a new home had to be found for the fuse box. The time it takes and the messing about is not for everyone, but then if you complain about them in the first place - send your bike to dream machine and pay £1200 if your fairings are in good condition. I really did consider the TYGA route, but at £800 for the whole road kit and then again that for a simple spray job = £1600 - I am battling to get £1200 for my bike with all the new parts on it.
Here are a few piccies :

Hiya Scratchin,
That would be brilliant if you could take some photos, next time you are around your sisters

Great job on putting the fairings on!
Where did the screen come from? Same supplier?
Cheers

Thats the kind of thing I'm afraid off - having to fabricate stuff to get the fairings to fit!boredus wrote:I have them ( HONG KONG seller) on my CBR, how I had to fit them is in this thread :

My biggest problem was not with the exterior paint and sticekrs, it was just the brackets and fittings on the inside - or lack of in the front middle sections.
If I had a full set of decent plastics I would have it all sprayed as you wont get a better fit than the standard OE bits. If like my bike the panels are missing or wrecked then this was the cheapest option.

Some great info from scratchin and bordus, well worth taking note of and if you dont mind the work, maybe they will be fine.
Hey marty hows your old fairings, might it not be worth taking time out to repair them? It took me around a month do to mine, in my time between work, around 6 hours per panel to rub down, the paint and clear was rock hard mind, so it a lot depends on this. Once they are rubbed down I painted and laquered them, this was the best bit and I really liked doing this. Some care is needed but you can get a decent finish. It cost me just over £200 for paint, decals and all other bits and bobs needed. Still cheaper than the Hong Kong jobbies if you dont mind the work.
Another alternative if you dont like the idea of rubbing down and repairing is to go for the panels by Skidmarx although they are more expensive as painting and decals are still needed to finish them off. If you go this route make them fit first on the bike before you paint, as you may find some parts have to be shaped to join correctly.
good luck.

My most recent NC came with Hong Kong plastics, the paintwork is ok, but I also experienced the same thing as boredus, I dread everytime I have to take the panels off because they take so bloody long to line up when fitting them back on.
I'm saving for Tyga's replica plastics, I've seen these in the flesh and they are excellent.
Its a no brainer from where I'm sitting, save an extra few weeks and get the job done properly.

Hope the weather has treated you ok today! Boss let us go early today, to avoid the rush hour nighttime mess!
Unfortunately, a few of the critcal Lugs have been snapped off:
1) Nose faring - LHS, bottom inner lug, which the LHS Middle fairing clicks into (LHS of the Wheel Arch.)
2) "V" Fairing - Snapped off bottom and RHS screw points
3) Side Fairings - connecting lugs underneath, connecting RHS with LHS...
etc
etc
Likewise, money allowing in 2010, be nice to have a clean set of fairings. Perhaps blank, and I can work out my own paintjob!

If its lugs that are snapped, couldnt you try and get some 'loan' panels to use as a template and then re-make the lugs out of plastex?
Too many bikes, so little time!

I should have said:
1) Snapped and area around lug damaged as well
2) Lugs and rest of bits missing.
Thanks for the advise though Matchlessman, all advise is good advise!
