RAF Odiham Track days 2010
The club has just announced the dates for next year (2010)
This what the club posted -
We now have the dates for next years ARD's here at Odiham:
Monday 31 May (Bank Holiday)
Saturday 17 July
Sunday 05 Sept (Provisional)
So as you see, we have 3 dates next year which means even more track time for you all!
These are obvioulsy a long way off and we will announce more information about them closer to the day. At this stage however, it is intended to open the applications approximately 2 months before each date.
Hopefully will see some of you guys there!!

Re: RAF Odiham Track days 2010
I live around 20mins away from the track, if i can get the track bike sorted ill come for a session up there but i did manage to stack last year oo well joys of joys haha, Needs parts for build still tho as 17inch rear wheels are becoming a problem and also getting chance to get bike to a dyno center which i atucly have no idea where one is around here ( Farnborough / Guildford way)

thats the cool thing there is loads of run off if you need it - the track may be changed a little down at that end of the runway too - it runs on concrete there (not too grippy) you can get your knee down but it really slows all the bikes down too much - we only trialed it at the last track day - so it may go back to another turn about 200 metres or so before that one which is tarmack and grippy and smooth!!!!!!!

Re: RAF Odiham Track days 2010
ha dont worry both me and smev have tested out the run off, that concrete section was sketchy last year, I was taking the left right flat by the end of the day in the fast group but I was never sure how much grip their was
Odiham ARD's are great cheep loads of track time and good people and fun (different) track, the first one I may be at (if I dont go to ng pembrey, same day) second one definetly (good testing before pembrey again with ng weekend later) and probably september too.
hopefully I wont get completely spanked on the near mile long strait this year tho on my race bike, kev you bike always passed me like a steam train their recon you had the quickest 400 in a strait line, impressive for a road bike
everyone try adn make it their as its always a good day and getting bigger and bigger each time
oh and those bails are lethal, wacked them with my knee a fair few times taking my leg clean off the peg, bit sketchy when you fully cranked over

Re: RAF Odiham Track days 2010
As Spike says its a good cheap track day and it is getting bigger - At the last one Buildbase Kawasaki were there with their bikes (running at the front of the fast group!!)
not sure if/who is gonna be at the next one!!
the concrete bit is a lil bit sketchy but we were all getting our knees down and following pretty close - There are actually two bikes in the pic below!!! Spike first followed by me - you can just about see my hand and shadow behind!!!
Thanks for the pic from Pole Photos .co.uk too!!
The bails aren't that bad!! the alternative is to hit a runway light!!!
As for my bike being quick - it may be a lil bit quicker next time with the few mods I'm planning!!!

I love that pic dude, wasnt til the third time I looked that I saw ur crash bung and noticed you were behind, yeh james hillier and scott smart were their tearing it up on kwaks last time , 150mph wheelies down the strait anyone? they were a few clouthing and company stalls and even a wheelie school with a ring to practise on in between track sessions
