French GP

Nothing more to say really, if it's been organised it'll be here.

French GP

Post by Johnny Wishbone » Sun May 01, 2011 7:00 pm

I know it's short notice but does anyone fancy going to the French GP at Le Mans on the 15th of this month? My mate has pulled out due to problems he's having at home which has left me with a hotel room with 2 single beds in Le Mans on the Saturday night booked (only cost £50) and 2 weekend general admission tickets (£71 each) in hand and only me going, so rather than waste them, I thought I'd ask if anyone fancies joining me.

I'm taking the overnight LD Lines ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre on Friday 13th that leaves at 23.00pm which is £42 for a standard seat ( i can't sleep in the reclining seat so it's not worth me paying for extra for one) and returning via the Calais to Dover route on Sunday 15th after the race. I'm giving myself plenty of time for the ride up through France so I'm planning on catching the 23.15pm ferry which is £20 but I haven't booked this crossing yet.

Naturally I'm not expecting you to pay for the hotel or tickets but obviously you'll have to cover your fuel, tolls, food and ferry crossings. If you want any further information just ask.

Richard

If there's no takers, I'll crack on and book my return ferry.

I consider myself a Northerner and proud of it  .

Anyway, I'll be sure to let you know how my trip went when I get back. Hopefully the MotoGP race will be more exciting than last weekends snore fest. Going to try to persuade my bro to lend me his camera so I can get some snaps of scantily clad hot French women and maybe the occasional bike.

Does anyone know where to get a road map/atlas for France that isn't in book form? I want something that'll fit in my rucksack without taking up much space.
