My NC's - Update

Post by Cammo » Mon Dec 22, 2008 11:01 pm

Here are my past and present rides:

My first nc30, nothing special but it was in better than average condition. Sold it to get a race bike, I covered about 40,000km's in 2 years on it:

The race bike that I bought. Doesn't look special, but the spec was good. It had good parts, I tuned the carbs and changed lots of other bits and pieces:

Quick tidy up and paint job:

This is how it currently looks:

Spec:
- Fresh rebuilt RVF engine, quitening gears removed
- HRC full exhaust system/muffler
- NC30 carbs w/HRC scoop, HRC needles, HRC velocity stacks, HRC emulsion tubes, NC24 slides, HRC modded bracket etc.
- NC35 HRC CDI w/race loom
- RC30 top radiator
- Racetech fork springs
- WP internals in rear shock, compression adjustment added
- Performance Friction carbon front pads
- WR's rearsets
- Sansei clipons
- CRG shorty levers
- YTX4 battery
- Lots of weight saving performed!
- G-force gixxer flywheel adapter still to be fitted
- Very fun!!

Project bike, I bought it as a spare track bike, but I've missed having a roadie so i'm currently converting it back to road use. Nothing extravagant, every expense is being spared watch this space!

Rhory, it was pretty dirty when I got it, but underneath its one of the cleanest nc's I've seen. It has only 12,000 km's on the clock, most of those I assume as a road bike, as the engine is in A1 nick.

I want it to be a nice riding well mannered roadbike, it has a half system, rearsets, carbs sorted etc so should be a nice ride, just got to finish the cosmetics.

The paint is nearly finished, but still collecting parts for the bike, I got a bit ahead of myself!

A little bit more work done recently on the road bike.

Most of the painting is done, I overhauled the forks, and I’ve taken it out to stretch its legs a couple of times with no dramas.

Unknown mild steel half system, ethos pipe, and cbr400 tail light (was all I had sitting around!):

Gotta love matt black for easy spraying!

Whacked some spare track tyres on the roadie for now, good times to come!

Looking good Cam, pretty sure I have a couple spare sets of brake lights laying about if you want me to post a set down.

If you put a different system on in the future I would be interested in the end can as a spare for my system.

regards
jon

Yep, 1981 model.

I bought it for my nephew, will be giving it a tidy up and engine rebuild before he starts screaming around on it.

Big bore kit wouldn't go astray for the 'bigger kids' either...

Nah no more movement on it mate. I took this bike out for a 'very fast' road ride last weekend, it goes well.

Was converting it back to road use, but have now decided to loan parts of it to my bro's racebike for a race in June.

Might look to getting back on the road after that. Sooo, project dead for now unfortunately. I'll still keep all the parts for it, it woulda looked good.
