Not another nc30

Post by marcus57 » Thu Aug 09, 2018 12:05 am

So long story short after selling my road nc30 and track nc30 I couldn't resist and I'm.back again .
I was having a look in the usual places and couldn't find anything cheap enough to sink some cash into untill I found this beauty.
I believe it's been off the road for the last 10 years and it's rough but not beyond saving.

Not to sure on the mph face as you loose some of the millage digits

Luckily it also came with a huge amount of spares and a good few original fairing parts in various states and a couple of good tanks.

Plenty to sort through and sell , plans are for a decent spec but nothing over the top , decent shock , 17" rear, aftermarket system etc but we all know how it ends up.

Nice to see you start another build Marcus!
If you have a spare oem nosecone in decent shape, keep me in mind please as i need one.
I'll also have an rvf rear wheel available so could work for both of us!

Not sure why the pictures have come thorough as a link instead of embedding themselves as an image , any ideas(I'm not very technical)

Anyway , after a good check over the bike and parts were covered in years of junk and there was plenty of mouse droppings although there's no damage to the loom or anything, so I pulled it on to drive and gave everything a proper good scrub down so I didn't have to de contaminate myself.
I pulled a few more bits off to make cleaning it easier and bagged up the wiring loom/electronics.

After a good scrub and up on the bench ready to be striped down

So I had originally planned a simple job but Its to far gone for that , I do have a nice tidy frame with a private plate on that I can't remove untill the it has been mot'd.
I have just worked out a list of things that I want to do as to be honest to price is scary , probably things I don't need but I don't plan on doing it again so I'm thinking of the do it once do it right approach.

Hmmmm, not so good.

I may have some bits to help you out though. Thanks to the fuckwits at My Hermes dropping and breaking my crankcase.... I still have most of the rest of the engine (less gearbox) laying around as spares.

I am currently sat at the airport waiting to pick someone up, but can send you some photos later if you want 👍

Thanks for the offer , Scott tagged me in a Facebook post for a chap selling another project bike thats complete but needs some restoration but it does come with a few nice bits. Although it's not ideal buying another and it's eaten into the budget for blingy bits at the moment once I keep what I need I should be able to make a good bit of my money back, picking it up Sunday so hopefully all's good with it
