Ive slowly been rebuilding a GSXR400 RKSP and thought it time I put a few pictures up for the grey fraternity to have a gander at.

When I get onto the mechanics I will post directly but as I'm at present working solely on the composites side of things iv linked you all to the easycomposites forum.
I'm pretty lucky in that I live a few miles down the road from their base in Stoke, where basically Paul and Matt have taken me into there workshop and offered insight, information, tips and tricks to allow me to rebuild the bike with carbon.

Im extremely lucky to have these guys so close that I can call up there with questions and have the guys at easyconposites give up their time answering them and showing me how to go about solving them.

So in between making carbon parts for the bike ive managed to do a bit of fettling and gathered a few parts together.

1. Rebuilt the front forks
2. Rebuilt the front brakes including new lines and pads.
2. Fitted a 520 chain using dzr400 front sprocket machined to fit plus Talon sv650 rear.
4. Rebuilt rear brake including new line and wavy disc.
5. Fitted some SES ally bars
6. Powder coated the fairings brackets.
7. Cut and re welded a Beet bandit400 exhaust to fit, had to fit the bandit sump and oil pickup for this.

Plus ive a set of wheels ready for repainting when I've time and a gsxr1000 Genny to fit up.

I must have gone soft in the head because ive also bought a 1997 cbr600f, pick it up tomorrow.

@ zippy Always had a soft spot for the 600f so not got to be getting attached to the bike, its sort it out and sell it on.
Really need to get the gsxr done as its dragged on due to life etc will 100% have it done for next year.

@Blair If you have a go get on the talkcomposities forum, some top guys post who will help you alot, watch the easycomposities videos and don't cut corners, these guys know what they are doing and you quickly come unstuck if you don't follow the correct procedure.
Its not too difficult to do if you have basic mechanical skills but there is alot to take in and get right.
Give it a go, its kind of pass/fail you will either nail it or sink.
I spent a few months really suffering with it but ive now got a better feeling and things are turning out good.

@Yakama. How are you mate, want some trick parts for that 23?
Its getting there and should look pretty trick once finished.

Thanks for the tips VS. I figure if I can complete a good mould then that will be a major achievement. I have always hated composites in the past but epoxy should be a lot better than that horrible polyester resin. Are you going to make some to sell too?

Haha, i assure you that if you hate it you will still hate epoxy, its shitty stuff.
Only thing that helps is being VERY organised, something im not.

Not looking to sell stuff, i like making one off's.
