VFR No4. The clothes horse

Post by Tim400GB » Thu Oct 17, 2013 2:42 pm

Its a bit of a long story but I'll try to give you the gist.

I have a long term project (No1) which needed bodywork so I bought another quite clean VFR type 8 (No2).

I replaced VFR No2 fairing with an old set I had and turned the bike into a Honda Britain Foggy race rep. This bike is now the one I use on the roads.

I didnt want to hand over the long term project No1 so its bodywork could get painted so I started building a rolling chassis to wear it instead. This rolling chassis then turned into my trackbike project (No3). This No3 bike has now got to the stage where I dont want to hand this one over to a painter either.

So it no brings me to this bike (No4) its def going to be the rolliong chassis clothes horse to wear the bodywork so it can be painted for No1.

Depending on how I feel, this bike will either get broken afterwards or it will turn into another full bike (there is an engine under the bench for it).

This is how No4 sits at the moment.

Yeah this won't be a clothes horse either, it'll be another fantastically shiny bike with the engine missing!

Do love seeing the attention to detail you put into the bikes though
