i,ve cut quite a few rads now and would recomend putting some of the araldite or liquid metal (which is what i always use) in the end of the cut tube before you fold it ,use long nose pliers to roll it,makes the job easier

gary, the rad was already modified when i bought the bike soam unsure how its done.

BUT i seems the way to do it is to cut, fold & araldite it.

im quite glad the question has been asked, cos i have a spare rad which i intend to modify for the ram air tube.

Other news - bike is booked in at RJS Superbike on saturday for some carb work and setting up the quickshifter :D :D

im guessing you would fold it first then araldite it.

cut it, shove a bit of araldite into the open end, while it's still tacky squeeze it down so the araldite fills gaps and joins the inside of the pipe together. you can then add araldite on the ouside as you fold it over to seal it, the araldite inside helps to seal it and the outside holds everything together! least thats what i did when i had to seal a pipe for a project i did!
