Re: Kierans type one resto with a few fancy bits.
So been a while since I've updated this thread as I haven't got much done on the bike due to a lack of cash over Xmas, but in the last month I've got a few bits and bobs done:
Got the HRC exhaust blasted and then painted it myself with some VHT paint:
Got rid of the choke cables and brackets to save it being damaged in an off quite basic but does the job, also got a bargain basement filler cap, feels nice quality and a bit of weight saved:
Decided to fit the HRC system Monday and finish it off today:
That's all for today, tried to get it fired up but I think the plugs are shagged, got a one or two nice little bits planned for the next few months and have decided to put the racing on hold till next year due to a few reasons but the main one being cash flow and not having the time, hoping to do one or 2 Trackdays this year though.

Well because im not racing this year im definatly going to get it MOT'd, just been working on a bracket for the numberplate mount and will probably get hold of a broken left switchgear for the horn. Will probably cable tie a little pushbike speedo to the yoke too. Reckon ill have saved about 10-15kg once i get round to ditching the airbox for HRC carbs.
What you riding at the TD?

Nice, where did you get the hose for the breather tank, the hose I have, which looks the same as yours, is just that bit too small to go on!

What's the id of yours mate? Got a feeling mines 9mm and I just got it off eBay I think, will try and find a link for you. I've still got to sort that actually, finally bought some r-clips so I can route it out of the seat unit.

Yea same one as yours, I've made a mistake there then, I'll see if I can dig out the ad from eBay for you mate, got a feeling it was a really tight fit over the bigger of the 2 outlets on the tank.

Re: Kierans type one resto with a few fancy bits.
Got a few little things done on the bike today that I have been meaning to do for a while.
Got some neoprene foam to protect the top of the frame, got the idea from looking at pictures of old endurance RVF750's
Finally got my seat unit fitted and breather hose for the catch tank routed F3 style
Don't really like these brake reservoirs as too many people fit them just for the tart factor but it saved a bit of weight and unnecessary pipe work.
Had a chance to buy a job lot of nc30/35 parts so thought it would all be useful spares for racing.
Can anyone ID these needles for me? Got them with the job lot but never seen any like this before.

Just look like adjustable needles mate, what do the tips of the needles look like?
