Well spotted, yep a rather clean type 8 fairing with original screen
You have a pm regarding the zinc coating

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Got the new ign switch wired up, the earth is for the led in the switch so it lights up green when the bike is turned on. Just need to make a mount for it to go on the top yoke now.
I did test it on a bike and it turns everything on but the battery died before the motor fired up. Didnt see any resistors or diodes when I took the barrell apart so it should work fine.

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Got a few hours in and welded a plate into another spare top yoke for the new ignition switch. It will go off to the anodiser's and will the replace the one that is on the bike.
Painted the rear disc, so I got that fitted.
As well as the rear caliper, and I also found a braided brake line and fittings.
All the front fixings zinc coated
How the bike stands now, the rear wheel is just placed next to the bike.

That's looking sweet, I love the clinically clean look.

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Cheers Tony
Bolts for the side stand arrived, had to buy those. Honda love their fine threads .
Now I have a rolling chassis. Am waiting on a few bits from the anodisers now, clip ons etc.
Want a decent rear shock, dont want to pay for it. Anyone got one they want to swap for some spares, I have lots (not the type 8 fairing though, thats staying with me).

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Cheers. It's actually quite cheap, its only cost about £30 in zinc for everything for this bike so far plus some extras. I get a good finish by media blasting all parts before getting them coated though.

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Picked up the parts from the anodisers.
New modified top yoke.
Horn button mount
Clip ons
Chain shark fin spacers
Fuel tank rear mount top hat
Throttle tube housing
Brake master cylinder clamp
Choke housing
Front fairing stay spacers
Exhaust hanger
Master cylinder resovoir cap
And some spacers for my other VFR
Subframe bolted on, it looks square but some new threads need to be welded on for the regulator rectifier. Then blast and zinc.
Clip ons on along with the new top yoke.
Horn button mount
And the shark fin bolted up
Sorry for some of the sh1te pics, it got dark and I was working in quite a small space.

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Got the subframe back from the zinc coaters so I got it bolted up along with a few other bits.
Anodised hanger
Anodised ally tophat
etc
Thought I'd try the fairing on too
