it looks like it slid fairy well so guess you were lucky. thanks for the writeup.
To take a bike on track you need the brakes lock wired?
it was really well preserved. Needs a new bar, clutch lever and the rearset. Exhaust scratched to buggery but I don't care!

No, you don't need to present anything other than a bike that is quieter than the circuit noise level. There are some real shitters on track.

I only lockwired them as my last trackdays before these ones on the NC I had an issue where the pad retainer came out of the ZX10 I was riding which left me with no brakes on the run to T6 at Jerez - hence my needing to jump off the bike at 100+ mph, Not a cool place to be, so I decided that i would mitigate that risk next time...

Well the fairings on no9 didn't explode and fly off when they touched the floor so doesn't look too bad from that one picture Mark.

The zx10 looks like the steering head angle might be a little too steep now but it wouldnt take much pressure on the bars to flick it from left to right now :whistle

You've bigger gonads than i as i still wouldn't take a bike on track as i know id try and keep up with a better rider and end up in the poop.
Did you get the bike home or leave it out there

The NC is just fine :) it lives in a container, so I cannot easily go and get pics of it. I'll grab a couple when I am over there.

ZX10 wise.. I sold it, as it was to another of the chaps on the TD with me. I was pretty beat up and probably not thinking straight, as this was day 3, and I had to pack it all up - I hjad two big lumps on my head - like a goat, stumpy horns! - and had a pretty bust shoulder, that took over a year to heal. along with broken toe, bust knee, ground open elbow and generally feeling shit.

The chap bought it for £500 - happy with that. He has actually rebuilt it. frame was snapped, engine case on top was popped, wheels are OK, he says forks are OK... I wanted rid of the pressure of dealing with it.
The wheel was into the rad - there was no flicking left or right :)

it put me off riding for a while.. that was December 2018.. I bought a 'blade in July 2019...sold it in august. not ready for it.

ok that leads to another question - how is the sound test done... & how do you check how much DB you are allowed - all my bikes have noisy cans - lol. I do also have the standard pipes too though.

Good to have you back and better that both of you came off with only minor damage - Hopefully see you on track next year

How’s No9 going?

Did you manage to get out on it this year?
