If you want someone to rework those fcr's ive a mate who can weld pigs to horses, if you bring them up to Anglesey I will get them looked over.

See Matt Harper's site. http://www.harpers-ultrasonic.com/
He got me to do the mid-body seals for the FCR's. Turns them back to functioning carbs again.

Re: FZR RRSP 3TJ7
Gave the bike a run out yesterday, bike started fine and idle settled down nicely. Left the bike running while i went and got kitted up but on returning to the bike and blipping the throttle it was boggy and unresponsive. That would clear if i gave it a few handfulls of revs and when riding it felt fine.LiteTekBlair wrote:One of the Suzuki owners had a similar issue and solved it by setting the mixtures differently

Number of turns out is only a guide anyway.
Got the order and will post tomorrow.
cheers

About 20 mins into the ride i came to some stop and start sections and the hanging revs had returned, not as bad but its there

Ive read the above thread and it does sound like a similar issue to mine so i think its about time i bought a vacuum gauge and stipped the carbs to fit the rest of the seals as i only replaced the float bowls seals, pointless me putting on the dyno until i have this sorted.
Although the bike revs out ok it does feel a little flat almost like its lacking torque, bit like riding a 2 stroke in that you have to ring its neck to make any decent progress. Maybe thats just me and being use to a V4

Re: FZR RRSP 3TJ7
If the needles and emulsion tubes are worn it will be a pig at idle and just above. Nothing will fix it except fitting new parts.
Re the FCR, there is no mid-body seal between the upper and lower half, they are joined together with epoxy. So you will not see any leaking from the body. I would suggest a phone call to Matt would not do any harm. Keihin used to sell those parts but they no longer do due to liability issues that no doubt popped up in the USA.
cheers

Re: FZR RRSP 3TJ7
Idle is pretty much dead smooth though the revs just hang more often than not which is made worse if the idle speed is increased, that combined with the white plugs has to suggest an air leak surely?

Re: FZR RRSP 3TJ7
Could well be. In any case if the rpm is left hanging in space it is definitely too lean.
Stick with your plan, it sounds good.

If you could mount the arm there it would just snap off.
I make those too but in Titanium. http://www.litetek.co/Suspension_Arms_ToOrder.html
