Re: Porndoguk/RickyB_DJ - VFR400 R3K NC30
i use a place called wellafix in cannock.
http://wellafix.co.uk/default.aspx for most of my bolts,
however i found ebay the cheapest for any m10 1.25 pitch as wellafix has to get them made to order and i paid £20
for 4 x M10 x 1.25 A2
also screwfix is the cheapest place for small m4,m5,m6 A2 Allen Socket Bolts Nuts & Washers,
there are some you can change on a budget some that you cannot, namely that of the m10 x 1.25pitch.
i changed what i could but went for the cheaper 1.50 pitch, which is the standard pitch for M10, the 1.25 Pitch is a jap thing and usually when steel goes to alloy, but these are steel to steel bolts so not a problem, just make sure there all torqued up right.
ones you CAN change
bottom shock to cushion arm -m10 x 1.50 - 70mm A2
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0542519791
dog/wish bone to cushion arm - m10 x 1.50 - 120mm A2
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0542519529
Top Brake Torque Arm bolt - m10 x 1.50 - 140mm A2
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0284687841
ones you CANNOT change
the cushion arm to the swingarm
dog/wish bone to frame
top shock bolt
bottom brake torque arm bolt
youll need a wire wheel to clean the old bolts up and some new 1.25 flange or nyloc nuts but its hard to get them in A2,
so the ones i couldnt replace i just cleaned and look as good as new, the 6" brass wire wheel for the bench grinder is one of the best tools ive ever bought and only cost a few Quid, and is still going strong.

Re: Porndoguk/RickyB_DJ - VFR400 R3K NC30
Update - Last few days work
not got alot done the last few days its been REALLY cold, into the Minuses last night -4C
my garage is a concrete and tin roof prefab, which is so cold no insulation etc.
whats left,
- give the engine a clean over.
- flush the brake fluid new juice now ive bled it through, and got rid of the air, the rear brake feels like its a little tighter which is a pleasant suprise.
- refit number plate
Done
- test johnny wishbones loom!
- Swap all the engine case bolts for A2 Allen (M6 / A5 Key) £15 ebay from my other bolt supplier "boltmeup"
DONE
- put the fairings back on
- refit chain
Done
i started the engine saturday,
put the kill switch to off, cranked the engine a few times to make sure the new oil was pumped about in places,
full choke, no throttle dry carbs empty pipes etc, so took about 30secs for the juice to get into the carbs,
then she fired into life but stalled a few times, i found it hard to get the right level of pressure on the quick action throttle, due to the increase in throttle movement,
once she got going got her idling at 2k, them dropped it down to 1.5 then 1k and she was great, revs so much freely through from 5k to 10k i guess with thanks to the K&N panel filter in.
im happy sounds more healthier than when i took it of the road in november.
anyway enough chit chat - more piccies

Re: Porndoguk/RickyB_DJ - VFR400 R3K NC30
Polished Petrol Cap,

What size tyre has been run on this to get this damage this is the swing arm side of the tyre!
im running 150 BT92s and havent done this its miles of that sub tray

New Carbon Hanger - Thanks Marcus57,
powder coated subframe, A" Stainless bolts everywhere, newly taped up loom, reffited alarm, powder coated luggage hangers, i put those pipes over the threads on the subframe as i cut myself on one of the really sharp threads,

New NGK HT LEADS from mr Rick O fitted, did away the crummy old un's
polished hanger/rearsets, Race toe pegs, the OEM ones had been gravel rashed and bold rubber, the pegs had no grip also bold, so upgraded for some replica CBR6 ones for £15 at M&P, polished up the original gear link rod and very impressed with the end product.

i have a tool strap at last! thanks to Geoff cheers mate

Again new HT Leads, Powder coated idle bracket, choke bracket, repainted choke lever, petrol on of res lever too, new clutch cable

a new shiny rad cap recognise it? no? CBR 125 rated at 16PSI
