Re: Another 'spare' bike
Not tested properly yet, but yeah after speaking to a few guys at work who know far more than I do all said the same.
Need to get the bike to brands to get it noise tested to get a bench mark.

What ID is your outlet? I got various sized baffles here.
There be some weekend trackdays coming up now at brands, just get the bike along and test it

Just looked back through your thread and are you using that tsr can on a rvf system? I passed with ease at brands with that exact can on a rvf system

You could be right there TimonTimon wrote:With ease?! Must be the open carbs.
Really struggled with noise with my track bike years ago once I went to open carbs. Mine always sailed through before I went down that route. Instead of using a baffle I always used some kind of restriction in where the can fitted to the system to pass noise test. That way it will pass without having to have a baffle present as if the Marshall/noise tester see's a baffle they usually write it on the sticker they stick to your bike so you can't remove the baffle after the noise test.

Well the baffle worked, down from 106 to 100! and I actually managed to give the bike a shake down
Bike behaved rather well, think it needs a better rider though
The only good picture really

Re: Another 'spare' bike
So the bikes been used a handful of times, which means its needs more money spending on it.
Not so much of a budget bike anymore, that said it hasn't been that for a while now.
New upgrades in the form of a pair of PVM mag wheels.

conical rear wheel spacer

New Ti bolts from RLR for the front disks

Just need to pick the tyres up from Tony, buy & skim some bolts down for the rear disk, make some new front wheel spacers and fit a Rick Oliver chain spacer kit before I can fit them

Tyres picked up, need to get the disks swapped over before I can fit and balance them.

Titanium rear disk bolts skimmed and fitted.

Was just going to fit a chain spacer kit to clear the tyre but now I'm thinking of replacing them with a 520 set and putting the 525s on my other rolling chassis.

Re: Another 'spare' bike
Got the rvf front wheel off the bike and then got the disc's off so I could put them onto the PVM
Here it is all bolted up with the new Ti bolts. Need to get the Bridgeport valve and tyre fitted so I can make some spacers to centre it up.
