Dave, i'll have to come meet up with you on the next ride out and compare the colours.

Yeah i thought of this but there is one tiny spot where rust has come through so it will need white there at the very least and giving the colour fade thats been going on over the years it may start looking a bit like a patch work quilt, i can paint it myself so cost isnt an issue but colour matching is. I have all the OE tank decals to go back on so its all ready to go.

I also want one of those foam wrap around tank pads, not the ones david silver sells. anyone know where to get them?

Yes,
Meet up sometime, let me know which meeting [after I arrange each one] so that I can be on the right bike on the day. I have added you to the group e mail list now, that notifies all riders on the Friday before the Sunday meet up.
Always good to look at another one to get ideas on finish etc.

I am on the trail of one sold a few years ago. It was 1 owner all original 600 miles [£5,000]
A friend knows where it is, and he is going to ask if I can take detail pictures for reference when restoring to original.
I may be tempted to make him an offer he can't refuse :-)

I have a photo from when I worked on it, will post it in v4 section later.
Dave.

We have quite a few meets, according to how many fine Sundays we get.

You will be notified 2 days in advance of each.
