Ok some photo updates.

Image

Bike when I got it.. those braided lines went pop! red calipers went bye bye.. awful.. so did the fork stickers.

After the crash.

As it stands now.

New braided lines, new pads front and rear (rears were down to steel metal)
Rear wheel plug, new steering stem plug.
Replaced footpegs, bar end, mirrors, most of the panels (type 6 now) (just need nose-cone and front inner cowl), upper left side panel needs the 'VFR' decal but thats on the list.
Replaced subframe.. bent as a banana.
Standard exhaust (stilll on) trashed.

Mechanically it's running great, starts on the button, pulls through the revs, brakes etc are fantastic.

Still to do:

Replace nosecone.
Replace missing decals.
Replace fluid resevoir cup (very brown)
My Yamamoto system and can were off the bike at the time, i've polished it up and it's come up looking super mint, will be refitted soon.

Then we'll see.

Had a lower-side panel come yesterday.

New old stock.. storage mark from where it was damaged.. looks like it's been storred with something metal that has rubbed it.

Came in the original Honda box and packaging along. Totally clean, mounting holes have no marks at all so I don't think it's ever been on a bike.

Also brought a front v-piece in white, from a breakers.. not bad condition either. (no where near as nice as the panel.. felt a shame to put it on the bike)

Getting there now. Just a nosecone to go

Bit of an update on the bike.

It's now running 118/120 jets, pulls super-crisp too so will get it re-dyno'd and see how it's running.

Fitted the RC30 shock / linkage and dogbone to the bike over the weekend too.

All running really good now. Just time to clean the gunge off it :D

Started the valve clearnaces on Sunday.

Sods law I dropped one and it went down through the cam-gears into the engine.

After that I remove the camshafts / all the shims and cam-gears.

The lots currently on my living-room table until my new shims arrive.

The bike still had the factory shims in it and the clearances were tight on 10 of the valves (too tight).

All in all I need to order 14 shims!
