Actually don't know. In any case I was in Soncino to the Micron where they do this treatment. It's a very advanced factory. I have spoken personally to the boss on wedensday. He's a very easy going and competent person. He told me they could make the treatment directly on the chromatation that is nowaday forbidden due to the use of exhavalent chrome toxicity. This is their site.

I also made the liquid control on the rim because of heavy machining by the chain in the inner part. I was dubious, but everything went ok. No crack at all. So I decided to have it PEO treated to close any virtual risk on the damaged parts. Micron assured me that the Peo treatment alone would be already a great protection from oxhidation and with a dast sprying it will be totally impossible to have any sort of damage for long long time.
Here some explicative shots of the liquid red and white spray control after perfect washing with appropriate spray and solvent.

Magtek front 17x3,50 and rear 17x4,50. The rear one has a very bad chain machining on the edge as shown in the first, but it's fully tested and is fine, no major or micro cracks at all. As mentioned above both have been PEO treated (plasma electro oxidation) to close the surface, and dust sprayed. So the best choice for safe.

The frame has received all weldings and mods, and has gone today now to the dust spraying.

The RC30 is still one of the best looking bikes ever made.

I'm with you on the 916 and MV but not so sure about the Benelli, their bikes never quite do it for me. I'd be hard pressed to choose between the other 3. I usually think of the 916 as being the most beautiful bike ever built and then I see a picture (like yours) of the RC30 and I'm not so sure. Both are a work of art, I would happily have either mounted on the wall.
