Why run that? Do away with it and run the pick up and magnets off the brake disc and scrap that pain in the arse cable drive off the sprocket.Drunkn Munky wrote:You need one of the mechanical to digital convertors on this page http://www.digital-speedos.co.uk/spare- ... es-8-c.asp
I cant remember which one suits the NC but send them a email, his name is john IIRC and is very helpful

You need to mod the housing to make it fit, best to get a spare to do this to.NGneer wrote:How does the new speedo fit into the existing housing?
Does it just 'slot it' or does it need some modification?
Very nice though

Re: Jamboys NC30
No need to mod the housing the converter fits and looks like a stock cable.
Its not a dig by the way, i guess its all just personal preference and personally i like to keep things as stock and tidy as possible when modding bikes.
The converter fitted.
And yes i know the holding screw is missing but that just as i didn't have one, the stock one fits fine.
It may take a little longer to calibrate the speedo as your not just setting it up for a 17" wheel + magnets etc but its a ten minute process and i had mine running at -1 MPH at a GPS indicated 70 MPH, thats better than most new cars.
Why add magnets and bolt unnecessary gubbins to the forks when you can have something that looks just as stock as the OE equipment? The cable drive has never been a problem in all the years ive been running NC's.Jamboy wrote:Why run that? Munky - I meant the clock housing. Is this what you meant or were you refering to the cable drive housing?

Ah no idea then bud i didn't fit that style KOSO to mine but with yours being a NC30 you shouldn't have a problem as the speedo is a separate unit to the tacho and temp, on a 35 its all one unit so you'd need to cut the speedo housing offNGneer wrote:Jamboy wrote: you need to mod the housing to make it fit, best to get a spare to do this to.Drunkn Munky wrote:No need to mod the housing the converter fits and looks like a stock cable.
