Welcome to part 2 of my painfully slow resto project, mostly due to working excessive hours recently I've not had the time to get much done, however after respraying the front subframe and refitting it to the bike I noticed it looked slightly out of line on the n/s compared to the o/s, so I had a closer look at the nose cone and as suspected on removing the blob stickers it was revealed that in fact the bike has been down the road on its n/s, no surprise really for a bike of its age. The repairs look good to me except where extra holes have had to be drilled to allowed for the mirrors to be repositioned after the drop, have a look
and here
and lastly here, there's a bit of cracking in the laquer (?) as well but I'm not too concerened as I'm planning a respray anyway
Anyhoo, one of the nice things about working excessive overtime is getting the money on pay day so I'm now wondering what to do about the nose cone / front sub frame, should I just except the inevitable battle scars of an old bike ? or replace both the cone and sub with better stuff ? or attempt to tweak it by bending the sub frame back into place, tried it on an SV650 once with no discernible results really and that bike really was battle scarred

. Anyway thanks for having a look and if anyone has any tips they can offer then please feel free to throw em my way.
Cheers
