Killing spark plugs

Post by trevorpagel » Thu Jul 05, 2018 1:34 pm

Hi all. Hope someone can help. I have a 400 vc bandit and it is killing spark plugs. Bike wont star tand when I check the spark plugs usually 2 are dead. I replace them and the engine fires up. When I try to re start the engine is dead. Check the plugs and again two are dead. this has happpened about five times. Becoming quite costly to replace plugs. Anyone out there who can help ?

spark plugs are very robust and hard to kill items. are you saying that the engine is "fouling" them badly/quickly? are they turning all black and wet and gummy? if so, you've obviously got an air/fuel mixture problem that is causing the engine to go over-rich. just saying that fouled spark plugs are a symptom of a problem, not a problem.
