GK73A front sprocket

Post by bluex5 » Sun Apr 12, 2015 11:12 am

I've been preparing my gk73 frame to go for welding on the broken engine mount, the guy wants the engine so he can check his work after doing the repair, so i've been refitting the sprocket cover so i don't lose the clutch pushrod etc. I've noticed the front sprocket is quite sloppy on the shaft. I'm not sure how much slop is too much, i appreciate it's a floating design with just a circlip. The splines on the shaft don't look too hammered, is it worth changing the front sprocket for a new one and hoping this takes up some of the slop?

A new sprocket should help a bit but they are a pretty loose fit.
