What year is this bike

I have a friend who has recently bought a 400 Bandit and have no idea of the year of it. The Frame no GK-7AA- and engine GK16-
Is there any way of telling the year from this?
The Bike is a Philippine model and has double discs up front but don't think it is the VC model
