which forks..

Post by Orinoco74 » Wed Jul 09, 2014 7:35 pm

ok I have a pair of forks on my 88 gk73a, and the seals at the top of the forks (where the chrome sections of the forks go into) have a dust seal with a metal spring around it. I also have 2 more sets of forks for a gk73a laying around that has a regular dust deal on them with no metal spring around it. Which are the correct ones for my bike, metal spring or no metal spring?

No idea why they are different but just had a look in my jap manual and the pictures do show that the standard GK73a has the 'normal' dust seals and the SP GK73a has different 'spring round the outside' dust seals.....?

aye those SP ones look identical to the ones on my bike. At least I know which seals to get now, might just buy the correct parts for those forks and keep them on it :) thank you.
