Hi folks, I have a gsxr 400 engine in my garage that i'm going to be rebuilding and putting into a custom frame that i'm going to build. Why? because that's the free engine i was given...
I got it from a mate who had a gk76a a few years back and took some parts from it, hence how i need to build it back up. The problem i'm having is, it need the covers on both sides. Now i've read somewhere that i can take covers from other engines and they'll fit right on! but, which ones fit onto the GK76a? bandit? older gsxr's?
Cheers!
What engine casings!?

Re: What engine casings!?
Are all the Bandit 400 engines the same? no change between the years at all?
Just so i don't go and buy something that doesn't fit hehe!
OH! also...carbs. If there are other engines that are similar, would the carbs have to be gk76a ones? or are other carbs interchangeable? I'm assuming there might be a bit of difference as each engine will be tuned a bit different.
Cheers!

Re: What engine casings!?
All bandit cases are the same/similar and will fit. Carbs are 76a only because of the spacing, any bank of carbs the right size will fit if you are prepared to respace them but it`s a ton of aggro. VVS will know more but i think i`ve covered it mate.geebus wrote:Are all the Bandit 400 engines the same? no change between the years at all?
