Hi all , after a bit of info please & I have searched the net before asking . So I have acquired a GSXR400 (jap import) with no paper work or reg plate , It's been stored in a barn for many years & I am well into refreshing it plus I think it's never been registered in the UK (to clean with no sign of road salt plus showing 20 k on the clock wich is 12500 in miles ) .The DVLA process is very complicated so hence my question . I know the jap frame number is not a VIN & I also know the bike is a GK76A with the frame showing GK76A106557 & engine K709-10662 , any info regarding it's age / UK registration etc would be greatly appreciated .

As I found out with my 3EN2, if you don't have the import paperwork, registering into the UK is a f***ing expensive nightmare. In my case, I'm lucky enough to have spare 3EN2 frames left over from race bike stock already with V5s. You may find it a lot cheaper to buy a frame with V5 off the 'Bay.
