GSXR400 VIN and fairing colors

Post by tailongwan » Thu Jan 07, 2021 1:13 pm

Hi all,
Not used to post a question in this forum, so hello everybody, and happy new year !

Just a question on how to find VIN list for GSXR400 ? I am looking for GK76A104773, to confirm the year (1991) and how I could find the exact fairing colors ?

What could be the best online shop to find original parts for GSXR400 ?

Thank you all!

That chassis no is a 1992 gsxr400-rn. Depending on where you are at the world, Japan and the UK are the best sources. There will be very little if any, new parts such as fairing panels and cosmetics.
You can get re-production decals, and get the old panels repaired, and made as good as new however.

Thank you very much for your quick answer! I am in France, so it is now a bit more difficult regarding importing parts from UK ;-). I will have a look on GSXR400-RN model. The first registration date is 31st of july 1991, and I expect to register it as a old vehicle, allowed in France for more than 30 year old (otherwise, we cannot use this bike on the road)

Yep, whoever voted Brexit wasn't a bike parts enthusiast!
