swapping gk76a speedo

Post by gsxrscotty » Fri Sep 05, 2014 3:01 pm

I was just wondering if anyone had swapped the speedo out for one that read in mph and went upto 140ish mph??

The reason i ask is there seem to be 2 choices. put a sticker lay over onto the original speedo but that only goes upto 120mph

OR

Get the speedo converter but then half your speedo is never used as it then goes upto 180mph.

So i was wondering it the speedo from a gs500 or something would fit?

A bit late, but here goes. The mph speedo from a VJ22 RGV 250 is a straight swap. ;) When I bought 4hundreads GK76a it had a VJ22 mph one fitted. ;) When buying one make sure it comes with the little gearbox that mounts on the back as the worm drives on the Kmh & Mph are "handed". Please don't ask how I found this out though ...
