gsxr400 gk76 triple tree, identical replacment for vj22?

Post by lizard821000 » Sun Feb 12, 2012 9:50 pm

alright again,

does anyone know the above^ ..... for sure?

as far as i know, the vj22 usd tree has

fork spacing 205mm
pitch 30-35mm?
top yoke 50mm
bottom yoke 52m

the stem length isnt as important as there not going in a rgv headstock, but does anyone know if the gk76 triple tree is an exact match,spacing/diameter etc as ther vj22 tree?....without having to off set discs, calipers etc using the rest of the vj22 set up, so only changing the triple tree.

thanks fellas

You are right that they are a straight swap, but beware of the clip-ons as they are different.

There are lugs on the underside of the top yoke, that the clip-on pinch bolt goes through, and these are in different places between the two bikes. VJ22 bars will not fit with a GK76a top yoke and vica verca.
