Hello all! :)
I'm buying a Suzuki GSX400F 1988, which uses the same engine as the GSXR400, just with the GSX600F fairing and frame :)
I was just wondering if anyone could post a picture of their GSXR400 33bhp restriciton kit and also post the dimensions? :) As I'm hoping to get a restriction kit made, rather than spend £200 on an FI international one or £130 on a NOS one :)

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Nope :) I emailed Suzuki UK asking for more information on the GSX400F 1988/9 and go this message back:
Dear Mr Hicks
Thank you for your e-mail regarding your GSX400.
We are happy to confirm the following information about your machine:
1. 1988-1989 2 year Japanese market special, frame and fairing from a GSX600F, engine from the GSX-R400
2. Water cooled 398 inline 4, 59 BHP @ 12,000 RPM.
3. Dry weight 183Kg
If your machine is a domestic Japanese model, it will be restricted to 112 mph.

Hi mate, in 88 and 89 Suzi made the 73a thats 90% the same as the bandit4, some small internal differences plus a different sump/exhaust and jetting. If you can find a restriction kit for the bandit it will work with the gsx so long as you have the bst 32mm or 33mm carbs. You can get washers and throttle stops but i have no sizes.
M1ke had a set for sale at one time.
