Gk73a braced swingarm. For sp model only?

Guys, I know there are 2 different rear swingarms for the gk73a, just wandering if the braced version were only used on the sp model? Or was it just a later model?

Early 18" wheel is unbraced, late 17" is braced. The braced model SP has the single seat.
