sp engine swap

i have been offered a h model sp engine but i have a l1 just wondered if i need to change any thing or is it a straight swap? a mate of mine said ide need to get the carbs rejetted or something like that, any help is greatly appreciated. cheers doug

Should be a straight swap apart from perhaps the ignition pickup rotor.

and flip the thermostat housing 180 degree's.

you may need to re-jet to suit the sp cams .. you may not..

ignition rotor will need swapping to suit the ignition box and loom on your bike .. just use the one off your old engine. The SP rotor (if present) only works with the sp cdi and loom.
