ZX400N / ZZR400 PISTON RINGS

Hi, Paul Here,
I have bought a ZX400N Vin: ZX400N013288 Engine: ZX400KE045302
Could someone PLEASE help me .....
I have sent it in to repair, the repair shop tells me they need the piston rings...... Where do I find that ?

you are going to really struggle to find them OEM, you might be lucky and find that the rings from the zxr400, or another 400/600 will fit, failing that ebay sells sets of 4 conrods/pistons/rings for the zzr 400 for £50, or there is an entire cylinder block with pistons (and presumable rings) for about £50 as well, all used, but dont look in bad condition (hard to tell exactly from the photos).
what is the damage to yours? have you snapped a ring and gouged the piston liner?

which might fit, price looks reasonable for brand-new parts, a set of 4 brand new OEM rings for my fzr1000 cost ~£160.

Hi Paul. In Cape Town myself. Found rings on Ali express for 30$! Installed them 4 days ago, blew head gasket tho..

Actually gasket didn't blow, was previous owner who mucked something up.. All good now.. Rings running great
