hello
my bike is a zxr400 from 1992. i don't have any ideea if it's an H or L model, even less what number.
the first one regards the fuel tap. can someone tell me which positions are the on, off and reserve? right now i know it''s on and the tap is in vertical position, with "off" marked on it, in the upper half. i should mention the bike has been repainted at least 2 times so no hope for reading this on the side. also, tied to this is how large should the tank be? 16 or 18 litres? and how much should it take for 100 km? just the other day, filled to the brim it ran for 175 km, a little more than 100 miles. and i couldn't find the position for the reserve.
the second question is about the coolant reservoir. where is it supposed to be placed? and is it possible for the bike to run without a coolant reservoir?
sorry if sound like a complete begginer, but that's exactly what i am... and my mechanical experience rounds about to a complete nil.
2 questions for my first bike :)

basically, twin headlights = H model, single headlight = L model
and there's very few differences from L1 to L9, so i wouldnt worry about that.
fuel tap,
it rotates 180 degree's total, fully clockwise = reserve, fully anti-clockwise = on, halfway between = off
