ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
I am so glad I found this forum as I have been doing my head in trying to fit a zxr400 wheel into my honda.
What I need to do is change the rear pitch 520 to 530.
I have a zxr400 1995 wheel.
I have so far found that a zxr750 r has a 530 and a zzr400k has a 530.
Does anyone know if the sproket bolt fitment would work or would i need the whole cush drive and if so would the cush fit.
I can do or can get done minor engineering so if its yes the bolt centres are correct but the centre hole is wrong then thats easy etc
I have tried to find details of the sproket bolt sizes but drawn a blank.
Many thanks for your assistance.

Re: ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
this is a wonderful website for all things sprockets...
http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue
ZXR400 L models are 104mm mounting point center to center, 80mm central hole, and a 10.5mm mounting hole (520 pitch).
ZZR400k is too big (140mm center to center)
well done though, as...
Kawasaki ZXR750 R L1-L3 will fit as will any of these (aparently):
http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/sprocket/JTR478
http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/sprocket/JTR488
if you find a suitable one for sale (ebay etc...) ask the seller to confirm the dimensions first before you buy.

Thank you for the speedy and efficient reply. I had measured my sprocket but couldnt find the site that you linked me too. Thats the sprocket sorted.
next on the list is a rear caliper and bracket and a set of front ones and will be using this forum to find upgrades and other bits and bobs.
Many thanks again.

Re: ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
if you want, you can do the gsxr1000 rear caliper mod that ive got on zxr400world...i would give you the link, but i got banned last week for suggesting that one of the mods was both inbred and suffering from tertiary syphilis - we have a good relationship like that, this makes it the second time of being banned from there :D
its really easy if you have a dremell, you just need to take a few mm off where the caliper bolts to the hanger...and gsxr 1000 K1-3 brakes are newer and cheaper than 20 year old zxr ones and look identical. it has a bit more stopping power, you will lock the rear wheel if you stomp on it too much.

Re: ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
Just put a spanner in the works for the rear caliper. My swingarm has a top mounted torque arm.
There is always a plan b so time to put that in to action.
what the bolt spacing of a rear caliper please?

Re: ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
Plan c already.
Will cut the bracket off and re mount on bottom of swingarm.
Now on the lookout for a gsxr 1000K1 rear caliper, bracket and torque arm.
The most of it is getting blasted and powdercoated so thought why not.
darron

Re: ZXR 400/750 rear sprocket fittments
i dont know if the gsxr1000 k1 bracket is a good idea.
if you are using a zxr400 wheel (and i assume spindle) use the zxr400 rear caliper bracket (shave the sides down or get spacers made accordingly so it fits the swingarm) with a gsxr1000 k1-k3 rear brake, and get a torque arm made (an engineering firm will knock you one up, its only steel/aluminium rod/bar) or use the one that was on there originally if you are getting the mounting point changed...
