1993 ZXR400 as a daily commuter bike

Post by triptronix » Fri Feb 01, 2013 3:29 pm

I am looking into purchasing a 1993 ZXR400 and I was wondering if the bike will make a good daily commuter? Distance travelled is roughly 40kms 4 to 5 days a week and 50kms on the weekends. I understand that I will need to replace hoses, filters, tires, probably clean the carbs etc. I just want to know about the reliability of these types of bikes

Any thoughts or advice on this would be great!

Thanks in advance

better late than never, i commute on my zxr400 l4 everyday and its a cracking bike for it, light and nimble.

if you do/did purchase it, bin the original shock and stick a £200-300 replacement in, regrease the swingarm and unitrack linkages at the same time, and the rear of the bike will be transformed!
