gpz400r half spaking

hi i have a gpz400r , only 1&4 have a spark 2&3 dont, ignition coils are fine swaped the wires over and tested both. plugs and ht leads are ok. the bike had been striped and the frame painted by the last owner ,could it be a dodgy wire?. or maybe the cdi box or the pick up coils. if any one has any ideas that would be great , ohh and when its running im going to customize it into a cafe racer looking bike . thanks

now no spark on any cylinder, tested the cdi box with a multi meter , and there is no signal to the negative side of both ignition coils so think it must be a dud cdi .

also bit concerned the oil window is milky , was told water is geting into the oil , but the water in the coolant system is clean , any ideas

You've bought yourself a few issues. :down:

Sounds like the head gasket has gone and you've a fucked CDI, which may have taken out the coil packs.
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

yeah lol i have , coil packs are still good , orderd a nother cdi box , and a head gasket , so will keep people posted thanks

fitted a new cdi box, didnt work, one of the connecters that plugs into the cdi box was bent up a pick up wire , bent it down and got good sparks but it didnt last , still half sparking and very weak spark. think there is a problem with the pick ups or the wire any idea's. if i cant fix it im toying with the idea of just selling it if any one wants it .
