I've been stuck in New Zealand for over 6 weeks and only got back last Thursday, so only just read your post. Well done! Although I wouldn't risk my bikes it's good to know they can be used like that and survive. Now I need to find your YouTube video.
This coronavirus situation is shit so thankfully you made it safely which is great.

I went again to Santa pod  and managed to only do 13.22 at 97mph this time! There was again a bad head wind but I managed to launch off the line alot better starting from 8000 rpm.

The reason why the CBR 400 was 13.1 was most likely cause of the Pirelli supercorsa diablo tyre I used to get a great launch  I need to put that tyre on my zxr 400 and go to Santa pod next time or even my next trackday. Supercorsa diablo tyres are expensive but awesome!

My youtube channel is called bowches

Checked out your channel. Looks pretty scary revving the nuts off your bike, I just couldn't do it to mine, too much mechanical sympathy for 30 year old bikes I guess. I want mine to last a few more years yet and then be in a fit state to sell on at a reasonable profit. But well done for posting those times.

Thanks.

I found a another zxr 400 near Euston station.

Also found an old mate on his nc29 and the three of us were out on the bikes to Ace cafe.

I've joined facebook recently and its alot quicker to use than 400greybike

I will share some pics

Does that mean you've bought another ZXR400 or just spotted it near Euston station? Interesting grey colour, obviously not original. Never made it to the Ace. My home town is Epping in Essex, not too far from the Ace but in all the years I lived there I never made the journey. Now I live in Cheshire so it's not going to happen any time soon. Having said that, I made the effort to get to the Bike Shed in Shoreditch, which was well worth it.
It's a shame people have jumped ship and headed for Faceache. I've managed to avoid it and don't really see the attraction. Some people seem to spend half their life glued to their phone...whereas I spend mine on bike forums
