Re: Bikesure Insurance
after extensively modifying my KR1, I then tried to get insured, most companies proudly say that they'll insure any bike, however, when it gets to the part when they ask if its been modified, there's a strange long pause after I've reeled off the list of changes followed by a firm 'No'.
I found that Adrian Flux was the only insurer that didn't 'tilt' when i explained the mods.
Some insurance companies wobble even if you change the brake pads!

Re: Bikesure Insurance
We do offer multibike policies, but take into consideration the full risk profile. When convenient to you, feel free to PM me some details so that an Underwriter can call you for a chat.CRM wrote:Phil, not really relevant now, but do bikesure have any plans to emulate the old rider style policys that CN currently offer ?
i moved from bikesure last year after4 happy years only because CN offered a very flexible multi bike policy which was based on value, not cc risk as such, and was flexible adding one, removing one etc etc with no bike limits (i have 9 on it)
Cheers,
Phil

Ok, I get it now. When you employ a large number of people there always seems to be a few of the same name.jo wrote:Dave H who works at Flux and who gave me your email address

Re: Bikesure Insurance
Hey Phil, I've just got my renewal in from my current insurer and now I'm wanting to shop around, perhaps you can help with an issue that I now have with my bike insurance. I've got about 7yrs NCB on my bike and have never had an accident, yet with my car insurance I have a Policy and my wife is the main driver. She's had 3 accidents over 3 years, and the last time I renewed my insurance I had to state this for my bike insurance as these claims seem to count against me as well since it's my policy, even though it was not me driving. Is there any way to avoid this or is this simply somewhere where the insurance industry is able to penalise people for that kinda thing? It just makes it awkward come renewal time for my bike as I need to state all the details of the accidents even though they're not at all relevant to how I am as a rider on my Bike insurance.
Thanks in advance, Stephen
