3TJ Exhaust link pipe problem
As you can see the link pipe i've bought seems to be twice the length of the original exhaust can's. It also fouls the swingarm and is nowhere near the clamp mount. I'm guessing its for an earlier Fzr 400?
Any ideas?

had same problem with a link pipe for my 3ne2
i found turning the link pipe bit by bit in the end lined up ok. looks like yours will to. look like you got it at the wrong angle
or get a hacksaw out on cut 1cm a time off till it lines up

I've tried turning the pipe but it still fouls the swingarm. Will have a look at chopping the link pipe as you suggested. Thanks

Have you tried swapping it round 'end for end'?

I've not tried swapping it round end from end as its virtually identical to the link pipe i got with the can.Which originally came off a FZR model unknown. I'll give anything a shot though, i just want the can on the f'ing bike!

do you have an old link pipe, if so cut it so you can clear the swing arm and use the pipe....
Goto
http://www.lajracing.com and you will see i had the same probs but turned the pipe clockwise till it was clear of the swing arm or you will see i used a an oval can and moded the cans

A big hammer will be used to either fix or destroy this bloody link pipe. But i will have a go at modding the old one before i break the new one as it cost me £50!

I have an Art Oval Carbon can fitted to my 3TJ and i got my link pipe from The Carbon Can Co. It looks to be a similar length to the one you have bought, it is about 30cms long.
My can is oval and about 10cms wide and i only have about 5mm of clearance so if your can is much wider you are going to have problems.

I only please one person per day.
