Camshaft timing

Post by macbook » Sun Mar 15, 2020 12:23 pm

Hello, I about to rebuild a 1wg motor and have some questions. Its been about 20 years since I have built a 400 motor so I have forgotten or lost all my notes... I am considering different cam timing and wonder how people are setting up their bikes. I have read 3 deg intake and 3 deg exhaust but I have not used this and would appreciate some opinions. Have people been using 600 cams in their 400 with success?

Cheers,

I always set mine up to 105/105 and a standard cam works quite well at this setting. Hope this helps.
