Painting motorcycle tank

Post by Qusauel » Wed Nov 20, 2019 10:13 am

I plan to paint a new motorcycle tank. I am starting with bare metal. I plan to put a skim coat of evercoat metal to metal filler first to get it smooth. I am going to paint with nason single stage. What kind of etching primer would you use to start? After that, do I need another coat of regular primer before I put on the color or can I lay a coat of color on the etching primer. I have never done single stage with bare metal. Who can give useful advice about good paint?
THANKS!!!!

I dont know ' but I'm not sure id put the metal to metal filler on. I'd use etching primer then knifing or fine filler on any small imperfections drop a hybuild primer over that and flatten it back.
Ask your paint supplier what they recommend
