I have TRX 850 or a FZR600 (foxeye) wheel available. (quite the same)
i have to reduce the with app 20 mm.
has anyone experience in this?
what is the best way?
or better to use a diffrent wheel?

Re: 5" rear wheel in 3TJ
For a 3TJ ?
If you have the standard 3tj wheel in the standard 3tj swingarm then there's no real advantage, the tj wheel I'd fairly light and the brake carrier is going to be different and might only work with the 3tj swingarm.

Re: 5" rear wheel in 3TJ
You can fit a trx rear 5" wheel.
I don't know the method of getting it to work, but if you're on Facebook, contact Mike Gittings as he ran them in his 3tj racebike.
Advantage to be gained depends on what tyres you want to run. In the old days the inters we ran on the 400 where developed for a 250gp 5" rim and were pinched on a stock 4.5"
Tyres are better now for the smaller rim, but if you want to run a 160, the 5" is the way to get the right profile for it
