Electrical problems essay

Post by chris6409 » Sun Jan 12, 2014 12:44 pm

Hi i was syncing my carbs yesterday had the bike on the side stand as you do. So i finally got the carbs perfect with my home made carb syncer and i moved the bike forward say 2 ft with the side stand down and it cut out so i started her up again tryed to move it again with the stand down and it cut out again but this time the idiot lights, head lights and clock lights faded flickered and went out along with the engine. Now when i turn the key i get no lights no exup noise not fuel pump nothing. Im really stuck here
Has anyone got or had similar issues cheer

Main fuse, ignition switch or the battery is completely dead. Charge the battery. The main fuse is on the starter solenoid. Check the live wire on the battery is attached and follow it to the other end. Then check the ignition (keyed) switch wires haven't come loose from the main loom.

If you had the headlights on then its more likely the battery got drained. Charge it over night
