Yes it is, but I said 'spindle' not 'hub' meaning that it looks like the same 17mm spindle that's used on the 3TJ and TRX850  The wheel looks like a an early Fazer 600 one (they're interchangeable with the 3TJ fronts)

Ugo, the SZR660 uses Paoli upside down forks not 41mm rwu ones.

yes, you're right, the SZR has the usd fork!
anyway not the most common bike on the market

ah, I'm almost on the verge to give up finding a suitable fork...too many variables
the 3TJ, for example, I'm almost sure the wheel is 2.5'', is it not?
tomorrow if I have time I will go to the yamaha dealer to steal some measurements from a T-cat fork
the wheel and discs should be the same
I know the calipers are not, so is the mudguard
I have to check the fork pitch and the overall length

keep you updated

3tj is a 3.5 wheel but 43mm forks
The TCat is 41mm forks but different wheel and discs, they have a big hub and wider hole in the carriers.

I'd go for a Fazer, TRX850 or FZR600R Foxeye, but you'll need calipers

Yes the foxeye ones look different but they'll go into your tripple clamps.
You could put them tag everything together and send yours off to be reconditioned. Get you'rs back and then sell the 600 ones.

The second set are 3HE and therefore 38mm so they won't fit your clamps.

do you think my wheel will fit in those fork?
because I also found the calipers for the foxeye so I could fit that fork plus the new calipers on my wheel and discs

The problem with using stuff from those other bikes is the fork pitches are different, so the wheel and caliper spacing might also be different. There's an element of interchangeability with Yams but we know that forks with 83mm caliper spacing have a slightly different caliper mount offset to those with 100mm caliper spacing so you may (or may not- the planets might align and everything might be ok!) run into issues there.

Your XJR has a 190mm pitch, the FZR400 3EN2 has a 195mm pitch and the TRX/Foxeye/Thundercat all have a 200mm pitch.

:(
I think I might have to give up...

do you know about the FZS600 pitch?
I know it's the same wheel as the XJR (at least I was told so), so I don't see any reason why the pitch should be different

No, don't give up, you might find that the parts fit together easily like lots of Yam bits do, but the fact that the XJR400 isn't that common means that not many people have had a chance to try stuff on them- you could be the pioneer!
