no spark on hybrid
im just doing the wiring on my fzr400rr/thundercat hybrid ive bought a full thundercat harness/cdi etc have bypassed the safety switches clutch/sidestand etc ,bypassed the ignition has it is going to be a track bike but can not get a spark from the plugs when i use the thundercat cdi.If i plug in a rlr race kit cdi which i have which is for a 400 engine i get a spark,i thought it must be the cdi i had bought must be u/s so bought another one but this is the same no spark. Any help would be gratefully received thankyou

Re: no spark on hybrid
It could be the throttle position sensor - we usually recomend using the Foxeye CDI because it doesn't have it.

Re: no spark on hybrid
problem solved found a light blue wire with a black trace that goes from the cdi to the ignition switch this needed to be earthed and hey presto a lovely big spark. On the wiring diagram i was using it showed this has a black wire,if you are using a ignition key switch this shouldnt cause a problem has the block this wire was in will connect to the key switch
